Halloween Candy That Is Gross and Scary

I am a freak for Halloween. It’s the only holiday I care about and I celebrate it all year long by keeping my apartment permanently decked out with ghosts and skeletons (much to my girlfriend’s annoyance). I love anything and everything creepy, kooky, mysterious, and spooky.

However, I find that Halloween candy can be sadly underwhelming. Unlike Easter candy, there aren’t many specifically Halloween-themed candies. Companies typically put out their normal products, or lazily make them orange for the month of October. But there are some Halloween-themed candies that are spooky enough to please even a Halloween freak like me! If you’re looking for legitimately gross and scary candy to thrill and chill your trick-or-treaters, check out the items on the list below. Happy hauntings!

If you’re particularly titillated by the gross and bodily, I would recommend putting out some boxes of Flix Candy Sour Booger Gummies. They’re sticky, sweet, and bright green. The neighborhood kids will have a wonderful time flicking these at each other all night.

Trolli Glotzer

There are lots of eyeball-themed Halloween candies on the market, but the ooze of the Trolli Glotzers is extra nasty. As a bonus, they’re individually wrapped which makes them easy to put out to scare your guests.

I find something about these chocolates deeply haunting. They’re very simple and I think that adds to the creepiness. In my opinion, they look more like alien heads than ghosts, which is maybe more upsetting? If someone gifted me a box of these, I’d be like, “What the hell?” But then I’d be like, “Thanks!”

These are some of the most anatomically correct gummy body parts I’ve ever seen. Not only are the shapes realistic, but the colors are also on point. The gray brain? Gross! I’ll take a whole bag of them, please.

If you’re going for spooky but classy, these skull-shaped ice creams are a perfect combination of elegant and unsettling. The little teeth really creep me out and I’m sure they’ll upset your friends, too!

Bag of Zombie Farts Cotton Candy

Kids will go absolutely bananas if you have a trick or treat basket on your porch filled with “zombie farts.” If you want to have the coolest Halloween house in the neighborhood, definitely hand these out.

Insect Sucker Lollipop

These are a classic gross-out treat, but I never see them handed out on Halloween. They are so sweet and a little bit chilling. It would fill children with terror if you handed them a lollipop with a real bug in it!

If you’re looking for accuracy, these Gummi Eyeballs are some of the most authentic-looking eyeball-shaped candy out there. The bright red veins and how squished they are make it look like something really bad happened to these eyeballs, and isn’t that what Halloween is all about?
