Trader Joe's French Onion Focaccia

There are three things in life you can count on: death, taxes, and Trader Joe’s having new products that you have to scramble to find before they disappear from shelves. Trader Joe’s French Onion Focaccia is that new product. Who knows how long she’ll be here? We weren’t risking it and ran to TJ’s the moment we heard the news because this new Trader Joe’s product sounded delicious. Read our review below to find out if it tastes as good and it looks.

New Product!

Trader Joe’s French Onion Focaccia was a little divisive around the Sporked office. We all thought it looked incredible and were excited to taste this fluffy bread covered with caramelized onions. We popped it into the toaster oven for a few minutes and it made the kitchen smell incredible. When we took it out, this giant loaf was so aesthetically pleasing. I would love to plop this down in the center of my dining room table at dinnertime.

When we tasted this bread, however, we were a little underwhelmed. But just a little! It definitely tastes good. Don’t get me wrong. It just doesn’t pack as much of a flavor punch as I was hoping it would. That being said, using this as the bread for a sandwich or the base of a homemade pizza or something to dip into soup would be very good. Justine‘s husband loved it! I’m certainly not mad at it, but I also wouldn’t categorize it as a “must try” item.
